About This Competition

The AAU Junior Olympic Games Baton Twirling Competition is one of the most prestigious multi-sport youth championships in the country, held at the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex in West Des Moines, Iowa. Open to all current AAU members, the 2026 competition (July 29–31) offers individual baton and dance events across six status levels — Challenger through Elite — plus team, corps, and specialty events including the World Twirl Challenge.
